  1. This book sounds fascinating. I recently read Abundance, which was also about Marie Antoinette. Prior to reading that book, I knew very little about her. But the book piqued my interest and I would love to learn more.

  10. Great guest post! I loved this novel and one of the things that still sticks out in my mind a great deal is that complete makeover. I was horrified for her going through getting the braces and those hairstyles that sounded so uncomfortable. All that just to be deemed good enough to be married. I can’t wait for the next two books!

  13. I had no idea Marie Antoinette was worked over like that in order to become acceptable. It sounds like what movie stars go through these days. This book sounds fascinating. Please enter me. (I subscribe in Google Reader – does that count as a follower?)
