This book sounds fascinating. I recently read Abundance, which was also about Marie Antoinette. Prior to reading that book, I knew very little about her. But the book piqued my interest and I would love to learn more.

I’d love a shot at this. I just finished Madame Tussaud, and it got up my interest for more on Marie Antoinette!

I would love to read this.
Great guest post! I loved this novel and one of the things that still sticks out in my mind a great deal is that complete makeover. I was horrified for her going through getting the braces and those hairstyles that sounded so uncomfortable. All that just to be deemed good enough to be married. I can’t wait for the next two books!

historical novels fascinate me…thanks for the chance to read this one. i’m a follower, too 🙂
I loved this guest post! Thanks for sharing — I’m in awe at the amount of research that went into this novel — but it shows!
I had no idea Marie Antoinette was worked over like that in order to become acceptable. It sounds like what movie stars go through these days. This book sounds fascinating. Please enter me. (I subscribe in Google Reader – does that count as a follower?)
Yes. that counts.
I’ve read several novels set during this era, but have not read a novel about Marie Antoinette. I’d love to know more about her. Thanks for the giveaway.
