Loved this amazing review of Janel’s work!! I have both volumes and can’t get to them fast enough!
This also was a wonderful collection of flashes from Janel, and I especially liked how there was only one “typical” revenge story in there. Plus, not that I ever thought about doing that, but… now I know I wouldn’t ever want to piss her off 😉
Yes, and I’m sure that she has way more, darker revenge plots running around in her head for those characters of hers.
I like the sound of these. I like an occasional short fiction collection… depending on my mood and the authors style.
I haven’t gone to the world of e-reader yet so I miss a lot of these.
I’m not an e-reader aficionado yet, but I liked reading these short stories and collections on the Kindle. I’m still not sure I’m ready for a full-length novel on it.
I’ve been pretty resistant to short fiction arbitrarily but I’m softening my stance b/c so far, all the short fiction I’ve read has been great!
I generally have been more open to short fiction lately, and Janel has a great writing style….and her endings are whoppers sometimes.
I’m especially curious about Persistent Foe. Sounds like a great collection.
Persistent Foe was my favorite early on.
