  2. My favorite poet is T.S. Eliot. thanks for this great giveaway.

  3. Great post! I’m such a fan of Allison’s books and as I’ve already read The Song Remains the Same I can also say that it is fantastic and exactly what I expect from her which is excellence in all she writes!

  4. Dawn - She Is Too Fond of Books says

    I <3 Shel Silverstein, too!

And I'm impressed that Allison Winn Scotch was happy to write about her favorite poet, even though you didn't have time in your schedule to review her novel. That says a lot about her character (*her* character, not her *characters* …. I'm being sincere here, not punny!)

    • I was thrilled that she wanted to write about her favorite poet for her blog tour, even though I can’t read any fiction in April! 🙂

  5. I can relate to Silverstein and Jack Prelutsky!

  6. Last week my 11-year old son emerged from his room with a copy of Where The Sidewalk Ends. He had checked it out from the school’s library and read the entire thing. There were a few poems he had to show me too. It’s wonderful to see my non-fiction loving son reading poetry!

  7. My favorite poet is maybe Yeats. But my favorite poEM is The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.

And on another note, isn’t the Mr. Linky poetry month thing supposed to be in a sticky post? How do I find it?!!!

    • Yeats was never one of my favorites, but I think the last time you talked about him, you quoted a poem that I did enjoy!

  8. I love Allison Winn Scotch so it was interesting to read about her favorite poet. Make sure you pick up some of her books later this year. They are a treat!

No need to enter me. This book is next up on my TBR pile!

  9. I bo’t Shel Siverstein’s poetry books for my grandchildren. It’s hard to name one favorite poet; would probably be easier to name a favorite poem. But I guess I would have to say Robert Frost – I quote bits of his poetry from time to time.
    Thanks for the giveaway.

  10. I loved Shel Silverstein as a child, and I enjoyed sharing them with my daughter, who is also a fan.

No need to enter me, but I put the giveaway in my sidebar for you. I really enjoyed Time of My Life and can’t wait to read The Song Remains the Same!

    • Shel is not on Wiggles agenda yet, but hopefully soon since I think I bought all of his books except light in the attic.
