what do you mean my feelings about the climate crisis? It sucks. Here in Seattle we had a mild winter, which means less snow in the mountains, which means a dry summer. You know what else bugs me? My husband throws away the toilet paper rolls. How many times do I have to tell him that those should be recycled? You know what else bugs me? National parks suck at having recycling bins. What’s up with that? Better enter me in the contest so I can think of more things to bitch about.

  4. I own the book, so don’t count me in on the giveaway, but I wanted to mention that I found the book useful in describing what various types of alternative energy. For people like me who care about the environment but aren’t up on all of the technologies, it is useful to have a quick and comprehensive enough description of what is going on.

  5. Wow international!!!! please count me in. would love to listen to this audio.

  6. I would love a chance to listen to this audio. As far as how I feel about the climate crisis is not positive, I think we all need to do more to protect our world. Please include me in your giveaway.

No need to enter me, as always. I’m dropping in to say thanks for the e-mail. I’ve got this posted at Win a Book.

  8. I already own this, so no need to enter me. I have to admit that this is one of the few audiobooks that I didn’t finish. I think you’re right that you have to be interested in the topic, and I think in the right mood too. I know that for this kind of book I do better reading it in print format. I do think that the information is important though.

    • I really enjoy these types of books, but I have to say that would have enjoyed it more if I had read it. I tend to absorb more of the information if i read it.

  9. I was afraid this might be dry. I read somewhere that Gore donates to an environmental charity to offset his carbon footprint – like money is the answer to everything.

    • Money can be an answer to some things, if its used properly. I like that he talks about environmental issues and that he does contribute to charities, but maybe he should be doing more. I don’t really know what else he does.

  10. No need to enter me into this one. I am immersed in various exercises to be green, our school has a special committee for it, we are virtually paperless, we recycle, etc. But I get very irritated at the lectures. Someone needs to ask Mr. Gore about HIS carbon footprint.

    • I’m sure his carbon footprint is large, but I also think that more than lectures are necessary. . . too many people do nothing…that just makes me upset

  11. Fantastic and thoughtful review! Sounds like you got a lot out of it. I’m not sure I’d be able to listen to or read this book, but it sounds like he has the right idea about stopping the blame game and fixing the problems.

No need to enter me, but I’ve added the giveaway to my sidebar.
