    I’m not sure what he’s getting at here, but I loved the image of the wasp nest. Brought back memories of how I would be fascinated with their papery texture when I’d find pieces of them on the ground near my house as a kid.

      It seems as though the narrator is comparing himself/herself to the empty wasp nest to me….both are empty and useless.
