Mailbox Monday #158

Happy New Year!  Here’s to a happy, healthy, and fun 2012!

Mailbox Mondays (click the icon to check out the new blog) has gone on tour since Marcia at A Girl and Her Books, formerly The Printed Page passed the torch. This month’s host is the At Home With Books.

Kristi of The Story Siren continues to sponsor her In My Mailbox meme.

Both of these memes allow bloggers to share what books they receive in the mail or through other means over the past week.

Just be warned that these posts can increase your TBR piles and wish lists.

Here’s what I received this week:

1.  The Bungalow by Sarah Jio, which I received over the holidays.

2.  War Horse by Michael Morpurgo, which I bought with a gc to Barnes & Noble.

3. 11/22/1963 by Stephen King, which I bought with a gc to Barnes & Noble.

What did you receive?

Comments

  1. I really want to read the Jio soon. Enjoy your reads.

  2. What fun books from over the holidays! I think I am finally going to give Stephen King another chance with his new book after much avoidance of his other books because they scare the crud out of me.

  3. I want to read The Bungalow. My husband, daughter and I plan to see War Horse very soon. Happy reading!

  4. The Bungalow sounds wonderful…it’s on my wish list. Happy New Year Serena!!

  5. Thanks everyone for stopping by. I hope you all have a great 2012, a year in books.

  6. I know this is totally unrelated to your post but I just want to let you know that I have nominated you for the Liebster Blog Award! Just check my post – http://ejsbookshelf.wordpress.com/2012/01/03/my-first-blog-award/ to find out more.

  7. I really enjoyed The Bungalow and The War Horsr is calling my name!

  8. I’m about halfway through the Stephen King audio and I absolutely LOVE HIM. And a great big “want” for The Bungalow.

  9. Waiting for your thoughts on the Stephen King book, and hope you’ll let me borrow War Horse when you’re done. 😉 Happy reading!

  10. I’ve read good things about The Bungalow. I hope you enjoy your new books.

  11. I’ve heard good things about The Bungalow. My book club is reading 11/22/63 next. We decided to split it over 2 months because it’s so long and most people who’ve started it have already finished it. It must be good. Happy reading, Serena!

    • I hope you enjoy the King book. I hope to read that one slowly over the next several months, but I might end up reading it all at once.

  12. Like the Jio book! awaiting your review.
