Mailbox Monday #156

Mailbox Mondays has gone on tour since Marcia at A Girl and Her Books, formerly The Printed Page passed the torch. This month’s host is the Let Them Read Books.

Bloggers share what books they receive in the mail or through other means over the past week.

Just be warned that these posts can increase your TBR piles and wish lists.

Here’s what I received this week:

1.  50 Simple Soups for the Slow Cooker by Lynn Alley, which I purchased.

2.  Compulsively Mr. Darcy by Nina Benneton, which I received for review in February from Sourcebooks.

What did you receive?

  1. Dawn - She Is Too Fond of Books says

We have 50 SIMPLE SOUPS FOR THE SLOW COOKER; I’ve made two recipes from it — both are “keepers.”

I received RUNNING THE RIFT — really looking forward to reading it.

    Enjoy your books, Serena!

  2. I wish my husband loved soup as much as I do…if so I would make every recipe in that book!!

  3. I love making soup in my slow cooker. I will have to check that cookbook out!

  4. I love cookbooks — and I envy the new Sourcebook. Have fun with both new reads!

  5. I can never have too many cookbooks. The soup book sounds wonderful.

  6. I like the re-tellings that incorporate humor.

  7. A retelling of Pride and Prejudice with a modern twist? I’ve just got to check it out! I read the synopsis a few days ago, and I really like the comical undertone.

  8. I got the Darcy book, too, as you know. The slow cooker one looks good, too. What you gonna make me?? 😛

    Happy reading!

  9. Love them both.
