Mailbox Monday #92

Mailbox Mondays (click the icon at the right to check out the tour) has gone on tour since Marcia at The Printed Page passed the torch.  This month our host is Shanyn at Chick Loves Lit.  Kristi of The Story Siren continues to sponsor her In My Mailbox meme.  Both of these memes allow bloggers to share what books they receive in the mail or through other means over the past week.

Just be warned that these posts can increase your TBR piles and wish lists.

Here’s what I received:

1.  A Curable Romantic by Joseph Skibbell, which I received from Algonquin Books unexpectedly and a few of the pages are ripped.

2.  Serena by Ron Rash, which I won in a giveaway.

3.  Becoming Jane Eyre by Sheila Kohler, which I won in a giveaway.

4.  The Lost by Daniel Mendelsohn, which I won in a giveaway.

5.  My Life in France by Julia Child, which I won in a giveaway.

6.  The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows, which I won in a giveaway.  I’ll probably be passing this one on since I already have a copy.

What did you receive in your mailbox?

Comments

  1. I got a few good ones last week but not much this week so far. I really want to read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society! I almost bought a copy when it first came out but there was something else I wanted a little bit more at the time.

  10. Re: Facebook vote

Yes, this is a daily (counted 24 hours from your last vote) thru 8/29. But any votes you can do will really help & are very much appreciated.

    Thanks again!

PS Hope it is ok to post this here (didn’t know if you would see my answer on my blog).

Sounds like you had a lucky winning month to get all those books from giveaways!

  12. Serena, I am doing good. I am writing a lot of poetry. Not sad poetry either. I don’t really know how but I got out of my blue mood. Maybe writing about it on my blog snapped me out of it.

Thanks for asking. I truly appreciate it.
