The pin is just beautiful Serena.
What a neat pin!!
And I’ve not followed the World Cup all that much … but then I saw some photos of the soccer players in UsWeekly and I was like “Maybe I will start watching…”
Yeah, those soccer men are hotties. Now you know why I’m watching…at least partially. 🙂
Bummer. I’m trying to figure out which team I’m going to root for, however, I seem to be the kiss of death, which ever one I pick, they lose. So far I’ve only decided to cheer for new world teams over old world teams. May have to resort to better jersey color, it has worked for picking horses.
Well, my team was ousted today by Spain! 🙁 I’m quite distressed about it. I really think Ghana looks great.
Enjoy your wins!
Thanks for stopping by!
That pin is so very cool!!!
I don’t usually wear pins, but I’m going to make an exception for this one!
That pin is gorgeous and I so wanted to read Crooked Letter! No books for me this week, but I’ve got a copy of Captivity to give away over on my blog if you’d like to stop by!
Thanks for stopping by to check out my loot. I’ll have to check out Captivity.
Baubles and a book! How fun! Crooked Letter sounds very suspenseful. The pin is gorgeous! Enjoy both!
Thanks for stopping by.
It’s always fun to get something in addition to books in the mail! Now you can look good while you read. I’ll be watching for your review of Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter.
Don’t I always look good while I read? LOL
I love stopping by, Serena. And guess what? I already received Liz Gallagher’s book, which is far quicker than if I’d ordered it from a distributor in the States! Already I’m hooked. I opened the book to a random page and read this: “…daffodil bloom keep sprouting from my mouth…”
I’m so glad you received it that quickly and that you are enjoying it! I really liked that book! Great quote!
I’ve always loved the myth of a phoenix rising from its own ashes — I think we creative types do that so often. And for a writer (especially a poet) to have a phoenix pin is so cool. Enjoy!
I really enjoy that myth as well. Thanks for stopping by to check out the mailbox
You picked a good team to support, if only because of that tall drink of water. He is quite the dude! I infuriate my husband (a European and just a tad obsessive over his football) when I make comments like that.
LOL. I don’t mind that “tall drink of water” on my favorite team…he’s an added bonus for me. Who is the hubby rooting for?
Beautiful pin! As for the book, I’ve never heard of it, so I’m looking forward to your thoughts.
Love the pin!
Bling and a book! Crooked Letter sounds interesting (and I see on Amazon that one of my fav authors wrote a blurb). Enjoy – I’ll watch for your review.
Maybe you’ll have to pick up the book too!
The phoenix pin is beautiful! I got Crooked Letter too. Enjoy your new book and jewelry.
I love the pin! Its gorgeous!
