Echoes Carry sold out temporarily during Amazon’s pre-order period. While I’m not sure I understand how that works, the publisher indicated that Amazon underestimated how many books it would sell.
If you are still waiting for your copy, it is coming. The publisher is fulfilling orders to Amazon and any direct sales.
In the meantime, Gregory Luce at Washington Unbound reviewed Echoes Carry. I hope you’ll check it out and share it with others.
Greg is an excellent poet in his own right and his work with Norah Vawter on this journal showcasing local literary and artistic talent is much needed. Subscribe, you won’t regret it.
The poetry collection was also featured on Mom Egg Review’s April Bookshelf, which is lovely since some of my early poems from the pandemic were published in this journal. They hold a special place in my heart. If you haven’t read this journal, you should.
Leslie Pietrzyk is a prize winning author — whose story collection Admit This to No One is stunning — kindly interviewed me for Work-in-Progress. She even sought to publish a portion in South 85 Journal. I appreciate her kindness so much. Her work is phenomenal. Don’t miss out on her voice.
My most recent news is about LitBox in D.C.! I saw WWPH published books in the Western Market vending machine, and I was intrigued. How were they selected for the LitBox and how could I get my book in there? I made a connection between LitBox founder Lauren Woods and Beltway Editions. Never let anyone say that things move slowly in D.C.
If you dream it and put the work in, it can happen even quicker than you expect:
I urge you to take a walk and grab a book!
LitBox is located between Foggy Bottom and Farragut West, at the entrance of Western Market in downtown Washington, DC, 2000 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20006
I’d love to hear about your book news. What are you reading? What are you working on?
