322nd Virtual Poetry Circle

Welcome to the 322nd Virtual Poetry Circle!

Remember, this is just for fun and is not meant to be stressful.

Keep in mind what Molly Peacock’s book suggested.

Look at a line, a stanza, sentences, and images; describe what you like or don’t like; and offer an opinion. If you missed my review of her book, check it out here.

Today’s poem is from William Carlos Williams, read by Matthew MacFadyen:

This is Just to Say

I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox

and which
you were probably
for breakfast

Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold

What do you think?

  • Anna (Diary of an Eccentric)

Mr. Darcy reading poetry, oh my! That was an interesting reading. I liked that the video created a whole story around it.

  • Suko http://www.sukosnotebook

    An excellent reading!
