I read the whole start of this series but haven’t read the last book or two (got caught up in reading other things while waiting for the next one to come out.) I really should get back to it. I like what Charlaine Harris is doing with it, although, I have to admit, I’m not a fan of Bill’s. Part of me keeps rooting for Sukie to break up with him for good!

I’ve liked some of the interpretations of the books’ storylines, and it will be interesting to see what direction the show will take this one.

I really enjoy this series. I’m really curious to see the slant the TV show takes on this installment of the book with the new season. It definitely goes in its own direction, but it holds onto some of the same story lines.

I think the books get better as you go further into the series. I really enjoy the HBO show, but its very different from the books.

I loved this book. Well, I loved the whole series. I think you sum Harris up so well by your sentence “Harris does an incredible job of weaving in the Southern charm and manners that many readers enjoy in southern fiction with the darker side of vampires and all things supernatural.” And she actually manages not to make all the paranormals seem paranormal!
